Customs, Excise and VAT Training Academy was established in 1981 under NBR for the purpose of providing training to the officers and other staffs of all levels of customs & VAT improving their skills. Since its inception this institution is successfully running its activities on a regular basis. This academy has passed 39 years in course of time. On this long journey, the academy has gradually developed its infrastructure and has implemented many other action plans. The academy claims now a commendable position in the area of civil service training in Bangladesh. The academy is located spanning over 38.95 acre of land on Sagarika road at Kattali of Pahartali of Chattogram with beautiful natural surroundings. On its East, the academy has BSCIC industrial area and on the west Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury International Cricket Stadium, on the South Sagarika Road and on the North lies the Kattali Khal Which finally meets the Bay of Bengal.
